Determine calculi composition, metabolic factors affecting stone formation, evaluation of patient with nephrolithiasis.

  
Calculi (urinary/kidney, biliary/gall or salivary)
  
  

 

Avoid rejection and delayed processing by sending the stone completely dried in a clean container. Do not send gauze, filters, tape or Q-tips. Stones that are not received completely dried will result in delayed processing.

  
  • Calculi must be submitted completely dry.
  • Do not ship in urine or formalin.
    • There will be delay in analyzing and reporting specimens not received completely dry.
  • Do not attach calculi to cellulose tape.
  • Specimens should not be submitted in in gauze, filters, taped, or on Q-tips.
