All IHC stains will include a positive control tissue

  
  • CD30 can identify RS and mononuclear cells in classic Hodgkin's Disease (see section on immunohistochemistry panels), most anaplastic large cell lymphomas, and lymphomatoid papulosis
  • CD30 can also identify some plasma cells
  • CD30 reactivity can also be seen in some peripheral T cell NHL and some B-cell immunoblastic NHL
  • CD30 staining can be seen in embryonal carcinomas and occasional pancreatic acinar carcinomas
