  • All IHC stains will include a positive control tissue
  
  • MPO labels granulocytes (including promyelocytes, myelocytes, metamyelocytes, and mature neutrophils)
  • MPO does not recognize lymphocytes or eosinophils
  • Monocytes are negative for MPO, or contain small areas of positivity
  • MPO is most useful in the differentiated of diagnosis of NHL vs. chloroma/granulocytic sarcoma
