Immediately following collection, mix sample thoroughly by gently inverting 8-10 times to prevent clotting

Transfer serum to a False bottom plasma/serum transport vial/tube (AHL), labelled as serum
Freeze and Save in Send Outs

Transfer plasma to a False bottom plasma/serum transport vial/tube (AHL), labelled as plasma
Freeze and Save in Send Outs

OFF HOURS: Place red top and EDTA tubes in the Send Outs refrigerator bucket for day shift to process.
