Whole blood histamine is not on the Allina Health Laboratory formulary and cannot be collected, ordered, or sent through Allina Health.

N-Methylhistamine, 24 hr urine is the preferred test for mast cell disorders. N-methylhistamine is the major metabolite of histamine and is the preferred biomarker.
