• An HIV-1/HIV-2 differentiation test will be performed at an additional charge if the rapid HIV 1/2 is reactive.

• Patients presenting in ED for sexually transmitted disease testing
• Patients admitted to labor and delivery with unknown HIV status
• Source persons in sexual assault

For all other populations, order HIV-1/HIV-2 Ag/Ab Combo Assay (LAB533).
