For routine assessment of selenium deficiency or toxicity, the preferred test is Selenium, Urine.
To assess tissue stores, the preferred test is Selenium, Whole Blood.

Immediately following collection, mix sample thoroughly by gentle inverting 8 - 10 times, to prevent clotting
