This assay is used to detect allergen specific-IgE using the ImmunoCAP® FEIA method. In vitro allergy testing is the primary testing mode for allergy diagnosis.
Immediatley following collection, mix by inverting 5 times
1. Allow sample to clot for a minimum of 30 minutes
2. Spin within two (2) hours of sample collection
Gold serum separator (SST) tube
Ambient (preferred) - 4 weeks
Refrigerated - 4 weeks
Frozen - 1 year
Lipemic samples may lead to rejection
