To identify patients with MYC (chromosome 8q24) rearrangements including Burkitt lymphomas and to help differentiate diffuse large b-cell lymphoma from high grade lymphoma.
This test can be ordered individually or as part of a High Grade Lymphoma FISH Panel (See the panel test for details).
Place a 5mm3 sample of involved tissue (solid tumor or other) in a sterile cup with sterile culture medium, sterile Hanks Balance Salt Solution (HBSS) or sterile saline.

Fix the tissue in 10% formalin and prepare a Formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue block
Either the entire block, or two (2) 5 micron cuts mounted on positively charged slides and one H&E stained slide can be submitted for testing
