IgG by IHC

Alphabetical Test listing

IgG by IHC-12376 - Technical only, 12379 - Technical & interpretation

IgG by IHC

12376 - Technical only, 12379 - Technical & interpretation

LAB12376
LAB12379

Immunoglobulin G

All IHC stains will include a positive control tissue

  • IgG labels plasma cells
  • IgG stains will show an interstitial dendritic pattern within lymphoid follicles, (this represents extracellular immune complexes which are bound to the surface of specialized follicular dendritic cells)
  • IgG will label occasional B cell lymphomas

When ordering as Technical with Intrepretation, both IgG by IHC and IgG4 by IHC must be ordered together

Tissue

Submit a formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue

Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue block

FFPE tissue section mounted on a charged, unstained slide

Ambient (preferred)

  • Unlabeled/mislabeled block
  • Insufficient tissue
  • Slides broken beyond repair

AHL - Immunohistochemistry

Mo - Fr

1 - 2 days

Immunohistochemical staining and microscopic examination

If requested, an interpretive report will be provided

Specifications:

  • This antibody reacts with heavy chains (gamma) of human IgG (Fc-part)
  • This antibody labels plasma cells and various lymphocytes

 Staining pattern:

  • Cytoplasmic (plasma cells) and cell surface membrane (lymphocytes)
