Detection of bacteria commonly associated with urethritis.
Will not detect Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, or Ureaplasma.

- For prostatic secretions and other male genital specimens (penis, scrotum etc) order Aerobic bacterial culture, stain (12423/LAB12423)
- For optimal detection of Neisseria gonorrhoeae, order Neisseria gonorrhoeae amplified RNA and collect using an Aptima kit.
