Screw cap plastic container (non sterile)

Submit 8 mL aliquot in a BD Urinalysis Preservative Tube, or the entire specimen.

The BD Urinalysis Preservative Tube has a minimum fill of 7-10 mL; 10 mL is preferred.

If BD UA transport tube in not available, or there is insufficient specimen, transport in a screw cap container, refrigerated, within 8 hours of collection.

Urine preservative vial/tube, urinalysis (preferred)

If BD UA transport tube in not available, or there is insufficient quantity of specimen, transport in a Screw cap plastic container (non sterile)

BD Urinalysis preservative tube (preferred):

Ambient - 72 hours

Screw cap plastic container (non sterile):

Refrigerated - 8 hours
