This test is for transplant patients only

Lavender (EDTA), 4mL x 3 

and

Red serum vial/tube, 10 mL

Immediately following collection, mix sample thoroughly by gently inverting 8 - 10 times

Lavender (EDTA), 4mL x 3 

and

Red serum vial/tube, 10 mL

If the whole blood sample will not reach the testing laboratory within 48 hours,  plasma and serum samples must be submitted:

Lavender:

1. Spin within 48 hours of sample collection
2. Transfer plasma to a False bottom plasma/serum transport vial/tube (AHL), labelled as EDTA plasma

Red: 

1. Allow sample to clot for a minimum of 30 minutes
2. Spin within 48 hours of sample collection
3. Transfer serum to a False bottom plasma/serum transport vial/tube (AHL), labelled as serum

OFF HOURS:  Place red top and EDTA  tubes in the Send Outs refrigerator bucket for day shift to process.
