- Diagnosis of autoimmune myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG)-opathy
- Diagnosis of neuromyelitis optica (NMO)
- Distinguishing NMOSD, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM), optic neuritis, and transverse myelitis from multiple sclerosis early in the course of disease; diagnosis of ADEM
- Prediction of a relapsing disease course
