LAB12376
LAB12379

Anti-human IgD

  • All IHC stains will include a positive control tissue

  • In paraffin tissue, the antibody labels plasma cells with IgD
  • IgD labels B cell lymphocytes in primary follicles
  • In secondary follicles, the staining is in the mantle zone with coarse meshwork of IgD in the germinal centers (this represents immune complexes present on the surface of dendritic reticulum cells

Tissue

Submit a formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue

Formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue block

FFPE tissue section mounted on a charged, unstained slide

Ambient (preferred)

  • Unlabeled/mislabeled block
  • Insufficient tissue
  • Slides broken beyond repair

AHL - Immunohistochemistry

Mo - Fr

1 - 2 days

Immunohistochemical staining and microscopic examination

If requested, an interpretive report will be provided

Specifications

  • The antibody reacts with the heavy chain (delta chain) of human IgD
  • This antibody labels plasma cells, and various lymphocytes (the later depends on the methodology - i.e. frozen vs. paraffin)

Staining pattern

  • Cytoplasmic (plasma cells) and cell surface membrane (lymphocytes)
