To identify patients with BCL6 rearrangements associated with large b-cell lymphoma to help differentiate diffuse large b-cell lymphoma from high grade lymphoma.
This test can be ordered individually or as part of a High Grade Lymphoma FISH Panel (See the panel test for details).
Sterile container filled with sterile culture medium, sterile Hanks Balance Salt Solution (HBSS) or sterile saline.
Specimens should be immersed in sterile culture medium, sterile Hanks Balance Salt Solution (HBSS) or sterile saline within one (1) hour of the procedure
Sterile culture medium or in a sterile cup with sterile saline
Either the entire block (an H&E will be cut and stained, and assessed by an HPA pathologist), or two (2) 5 micron cuts mounted on positively charged slides and one (1) H&E stained slide can be submitted for testing
FFPE tissue block or
Tissue section mounted on a charged, unstained slides
Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH)
Normal or Abnormal with interpretation
