  • Chymotrypsin can be useful in classifying carcinomas of the pancreas by identifying cells with acinar differentiation
  • Carcinomas with ductal or endocrine differentiation will generally be negative for chymotrypsin

  • Chymotrypsin is an antibody that reacts with human pancreatic chymotrypsin, made by the acinar cells of the exocrine pancreas
  • This antibody does not cross react with human pancreatic trypsin
