Estradiol (288/LAB288) is the dominant estrogen in nonpregnant individuals and is the usual estrogen test for most adults.
Estrone (13327/LAB13327) is used in special situations, such as monitoring patients on anti-estrogen (aromatase inhibitor) therapy or postmenopausal patients on low dose hormone replacement therapy.
