  1. Place slide against nipple and press breast area to express fluid onto a slide.
  2. Spread fluid across the slide.
  3. Label slide, How to Label a Slide for Cytological Examination
  4. Repeat to obtain a 2nd slide
  5. Allow slides to air dry
  6. Place labeled slides into a slide holder for transport.
