Draw with a 21G needle

It is best if the specimen is collected at a testing facility (Central, Mercy, New Ulm or United), but if not, sample must be placed in a STAT bag and STAT couriered to the closest testing facility.

DO NOT SPIN; Submit entire tube(s), unspun

Sample must arrive at the testing facility within 3 hours of collection.




Two (3) Lt blue Sodium citrate (NaCit) tubes and 

One (1) Lavender (EDTA), 4mL


Ambient - 3 hours

Send by STAT courier

Hospital Draw - hand deliver to Lab; do not send thru Pneumatic Tube System (PTS).
