  • Fasting preferred
  • Samples should not be collected earlier than 48 hours following plasma exchange
  
Sodium citrate (Na cit) plasma AND serum
  
1.5 mL Na Cit plasma AND 1.5 mL serum
  
1.0 mL each (Na cit plasma and serum)
  
  • Samples should not be drawn earlier than 48 hours following plasma exchange
  • Draw on ice
  
  1. Spin cold
  2. Transfer serum and plasma to two (2) Screw cap transfer vial/tubes (Mayo T465)
  3. Freeze  within 30 minutes
