Beta framework
BF-1

  • All IHC stains will include a positive control tissue

  • Useful in identifying alpha-beta T-cell receptors from T-cell clones or polyclonal populations of T-cells
  • Aids in diagnosing T-cell lineage neoplasms

Tissue

Submit a formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded tissue block

Formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue block

Tissue section mounted on a charged, unstained slide

Ambient (preferred)

  • Unlabeled/mislabeled block
  • Insufficient tissue
  • Slides broken beyond repair

AHL - Immunohistochemistry

Mo - Fr

1 - 2 days

Immunohistochemical staining and microscopic examination

If requested, an interpretive report will be provided

Specifications

  • Recognizes T-cell receptor (TCR) beta subunit, that is responsible for recognizing antigens bound to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) molecules
  • TCR is composed of a heterodimer; 95% of T cells this consists of an alpha and beta chain and 5% of T cells this consists of gamma and delta chains

 Staining pattern

  • Cytoplasmic
