CCND1/IGH rearrangements are common in a wide variety of hematologic disorders, including Mantle Cell Lymphoma and plasma cell dyscrasias. According to current mSMART 3.0 myeloma guidelines, CCND1/IGH rearrangement is classified as a standard-risk cytogenetics category.

This test can be ordered individually or as part of a Plasma Cell Dyscrasia FISH panel as well as the CLL Diagnostic Panel. See the individual panel test for more details.

Bone marrow aspirate

Bone marrow aspirate:

Collect bone marrow aspirate in a sterile Sodium heparin (Na hep) syringe and transfer to a sterile vial/tube

- or -

  1. Collect bone marrow in sterile syringe (non-heparinized) and transfer to a Dk green Sodium heparin (Na hep), no gel
  2. Immediately following collection, mix sample thoroughly by gently inverting 8 - 10 times, to prevent clotting
