Patient should be fasting

Collection instructions:

Specimen must be drawn in a prewarmed tube and kept at 37°C while clotting.

Due to strict temperature requirements for this test, if you do not have a 37°C incubator or water bath, this test must be collected at an Allina Health Hospital Laboratory reception area.

Processing instructions:

Allow sample to clot
Separate serum from cells immediately after clot formation (keep at 37°C while clotting)
Transfer serum into a Labcorp transport tube, labeled as "Prewarmed serum."
Maintain at room temperature after separation.
