Deletion of 6q21 is a common abnormality in a variety of B-cell disorders including Acute B-Cell Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)/ Small Lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL).
This test can be ordered individually or as part of a CLL full panel (see the individual panel test for more details).
Dk green Sodium heparin (Na hep), no gel
EDTA whole blood:
Bone marrow
Collect bone marrow aspirate in a sterile Sodium heparin (Na hep) syringe and transfer to a sterile vial/tube
- or -
Collect bone marrow in sterile syringe (non-heparinized) and transfer to a Dk green Sodium heparin (Na hep), no gel
EDTA whole blood:
Immediatley following collection, mix sample by inverting 8 - 10 times to prevent clotting
EDTA whole blood:
Lavender (EDTA), 4mL
Bone marrow:
Sterile vial/tube
Dk green Sodium heparin (Na hep), no gel
